The football world was shocked to its core after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hamlin has been in the thoughts and prayers of those around the world following his collapse on Monday. Fans everywhere are looking for a way to support Hamlin as he is receiving treatment at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

In an effort of incredible unity and togetherness in Hamlin’s name, fans were able to find his Chasing M’s Foundation Community Toy Drive. The donations skyrocketed in the wake of his injury.

Damar Hamlin’s charity has now reached over $1.5 million in donations and over 61,000 donors tonight.

Before the clock struck midnight CST, donations had already far surpassed the $2-million mark. The campaign’s initial goal was set at $2,500.

Hamlin’s online fundraiser reads as follows:

“As I embark on my journey to the NFL, I will never forget where I come from and I am committed to using my platform to positively impact the community that raised me. I created The Chasing M’s Foundation as a vehicle that will allow me to deliver that impact, and the first program is the 2020 Community Toy Drive.”
