Broncos: Russell Wilson emotional after teammates have his back

The Denver Broncos have been through what you could call hell this season. Nothing has gone their way, at all. And, for their new franchise quarterback, whether you like that tag or not, it has been a complete 180 from what he is used to.
This is a guy who has won at every level and done nothing but win. Now, all of a sudden he is in a place where losing seems to happen every day, especially on social media when it's directed at him. All we see now are memes and stories about him being self-centered and a bad teammate – all sorts of things. That has become the new norm for Wilson.
This week some of his teammates reacted to a report and had his back. The report stated that Wilson has his own office and parking spot, and Jeudy was fed up, along with a lot of other players on the team.
That made Wilson emotional after the Week 17 loss to the Chiefs.
"It meant the world to me," Wilson said when asked about his teammates defending him. "It meant the world to me because I give it my all every day. I don't know anything less. So, I'm grateful for these guys because they work their butts off. For them to have my back, Jerry (Jeudy), he means the world to me, how much he has worked at his craft every day. Kendall (Hinton), K.J. (Hamler), Tim Patrick, Courtland (Sutton), and other guys. You know, all I want to do is help this team win…"
While this season has not been anything like we imagined, this is something we have been waiting to see all season. Wilson is going to be in Denver for a long time, and the relationships he has with the players are very important, to say the least.
Seeing Wilson get upset about it hopefully hit a few people too. He is a human, and some of the stuff said about him on social media isn't right, and athletes see these things.
Luckily for Wilson, he has some pretty good teammates to make sure he is good.
