The sports world shook a bit on Sunday afternoon when a massive trade in the NBA occurred. The Brooklyn Nets traded Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks.

Now, what could that possibly have to do with the Cincinnati Bengals?

Well, at the surface, the Bengals couldn't care less about that trade in the NBA. There's a unique situation between a Bengals player and that deal, though.

Cincinnati defensive lineman D.J. Reader actually broke the news alongside NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Reader even believes that he tweeted the news seconds before one of the most plugged-in sports reporters on the planet.

For whatever reason, Reader got the scoop about the Kyrie Irving deal before seemingly anyone else.

It's pretty wild, but also pretty cool for the one of the Bengals' best defensive players.

Reader is a great follow on Twitter. He enjoys having a good time on social media in general, and he also shares some interesting Bengals content pretty often.

Apparently, Reader is even dabbling in some sports journalism.
