There is zero doubt that every player on the Kansas City Chiefs wants to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

There's one ex-Chief, however, that is really pulling for the team to win: former cornerback Rashad Fenton.

Because, according to CBS Sports' Joel Corry, Fenton will make a little more than $78k if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl.

But, that's not all. Fenton will still make $41k, even if the Chiefs lose.

In all, Fenton stands to make at least $75k thanks to the Chiefs' postseason successes.

It's a positive ending in what was a turbulent season for Fenton. The fourth-year corner had the best year of his career in 2021 and came into the 2022 as the Chiefs' No. 2 cornerback opposite L'Jarius Sneed.

But, Fenton never showed the skill set and level of play he showed last year. In fact, Fenton's first -and only- five games with the 2022 Chiefs featured his worst allowed completion percentage (82.6%) and quarterbacks averaged a ridiculous QB rating of 128.3 when targeting Fenton. His previous career-worst in the latter regard was 86.6, per Pro Football Focus.

The struggles -along with the up-and-coming play of the Chiefs' younger DBs- prompted the team to trade Fenton to the Atlanta Falcons on November 1. The Chiefs received a conditional seventh-round pick in 2023 as compensation.

Fenton never caught on with the Falcons, however, as he played just 66 snaps the rest of the year. And all of those came in the Week 10 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

Fenton will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so here's to hoping he catches on with another team in some capacity. Either way, he'll get a nice check once the season eventually ends and that has to feel good to a certain extent.
