The New Orleans Saints are still playing for something in this last game. Yeah, sure, they have to play in the game to get that game check. But, no, seriously, they still have a reason to go out there and give it their all.

New Orleans is in a position that, let's be honest, kind of sucks. They are playing their best football right now, and are actually on a three-game win streak, their biggest streak of the season, and could be on a four-game win streak had Tom Brady now made a last-second comeback.

Imagine playing your best football, being on a three-game win streak, just to be eliminated anyways. It has to suck. Then again, it is their fault, and they have only themselves to blame for it.

But, there is still something to play for.

"Yeah, I know it sucks," Juwan Johnson said. "But, you kind of approach the week like any other week in a sense… You know, we are playing for a lot of different things. We are playing for momentum into next year. We are playing for DA [Dennis Allen], you know our coordinators, we are playing for a lot of people.

"We are playing for ourselves and a lot of our brothers. You think about it, at the end of the day, we won't have the same team next year. Just kind of embracing what we have, and just having fun with it. We don't just do it for the money, we do it because we have fun… Just taking advantage of having fun together the last game."

Johnson made the point that not many fans think about it. They are now playing to have something to build off for next season. The momentum from one season to another is real, and we have seen it taken into full effect in the past.

This season as a whole obviously didn't work, but what they have done the last few weeks has worked, so they want to continue that and make sure that is something to carry over into next season.
