The Denver Broncos are currently doing the same thing they were this time last season – looking for a new head coach. They have their eyes set on one potential candidate, but he seems to be interviewing with another team, but not for the head coaching job.
Ejiro Evero, the Broncos' defensive coordinator this past season, has been a big name for teams that want to interview for their head coaching job, including the Broncos themselves.
Evero has already interviewed for the Broncos job, the Colts, and now the Falcons job, but as their defensive coordinator. He is slated to visit with the Texans later this week for their head coach job.
This was surprising because Evero has said he is ready to be a head coach, and he wants to be one. If he turns down the Broncos' offer for a defensive coordinator job for another team with a worse defensive roster, that would be not only surprising, but worrying.
It seems the Broncos have some competition for all of their candidates, as they are looking for the next guy to lead their team back to greatness. They think Evero can do that, and if Sean Payton and Jim Harbaugh don't get the job, Evero may be the favorite to land it. But, other teams want him too.
