The entire country — really the entire world — is majorly disrespecting Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes ahead of Super Bowl LVII.
Bad idea, right?
(Just ask the mayor of Cincinnati.)
The over/under for Mahomes' interceptions in the Super Bowl — via BetMGM — is set at 0.5.
And according to John Ewing, 99 percent of the bets are on the over.
The disrespect is real.
And a lot of money might be lost because of it.
Mahomes has played in 13 career postseason games and he's thrown interceptions in just four of those games.
Betting on Mahomes to throw at least one interception might seem like a wise move, but history suggests it's a good way to lose some cash.
We'll see what happens on Sunday when the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles, but I'm not sure I'd be feeling very confident if I were one of the folks that bet the over.
