The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the few teams in the league right now that can say they have recently been a part of something special, like a run of greatness. They have made five straight AFC Championship games and now made it to three Super Bowls in four years.

But, we won't call them that D word yet.

Even with three Super Bowl appearances, even though the third hasn't officially started yet, they still have only one Super Bowl win in the last 50 years or so. That's not a dynasty.

As much as I would love for this team to become one, and they very well can, they aren't a dynasty, yet. They can though, especially if they win on Sunday.

I'm sure the team doesn't like hearing that much, either. All they want to do is go out and win. They just want to play ball, not having to worry about whether they are a dynasty or not.

Andy Reid sounds like he may not like it either.

"I don't know about that," Reid said on Wednesday. "I'm not really into all that. I'll let you guys, you guys deal with that. You know, it's important in our world that as coaches and players, we try to get better every, every day and that you're only as good as your last game. And so we're, we're striving to focus in on this thing, trying not to look at all that stuff. That's good when you retire and go, hey, you said we were a dynasty. So, but right now, you don't let that get in here."

The Chiefs are not a dynasty but they could very well become one. The fact that they have accomplished so much in so little time is an amazing feat in itself. And, the best part is that they are only set up to have more success in the near future.

They made it to the Super Bowl with a roster full of inexperienced guys. Those inexperienced guys showed that they can ball in high-pressure moments.

And, this team, the core of it, will only get better. They played almost every rookie they drafted this last off-season. even the late-round guys played a lot of meaningful snaps and showed they can be great players.

This team could very well be a dynasty in a few years, but they aren't yet. A good way to boost that conversation is winning on Sunday.
