The New Orleans Saints are in the market for a new quarterback, as the Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston experiment didn't quite pan out.

They have been interested in former Raiders franchise guy Derek Carr, as he and Las Vegas chose to go their own separate ways. Carr is now a free agent and has already visited with the Saints.

But, it appears there may be some competition for him. Well, we already knew that, as reports about the Jets being interested to have come out too. Supposedly, he has already met with them.

But, the real competition I'm talking about is from a division rival. The Carolina Panthers may be interested in Carr.

When the Panthers' new head coach Frank Reich was asked about the whole Carr situation, and if they may be suitors for a visit, he responded with "Really interesting question.''

Per David Newton of ESPN, Reich said he's not ready to address the specifics of that situation.

It will definitely be something to monitor, especially considering the Panthers have gotten guys like Carr twice in the last two years.
