The New Orleans Saints just re-signed a key player to a one-year extension for the 2023 season.
Keith Kirkwood, a player we have all grown to like on the Saints, will be re-joining the team next season.
Kirkwood was undrafted in 2018 but signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2018, where he played in eight games.
Since then, he has played for the Panthers, a division rival from 2020-2021, and then re-joined the Saints in 2022. Now he is signing a one-year extension to come back.
Last season, he didn't get many chances to show what he can do, as he only played in five games and had just two catches in four targets on the year.
When he has been in, he has been decent. But, you can tell that he deserves to show a bit more of what he can do. He played just 153 snaps last season, which is 46% of the total possible snaps in 2022-2023.
Hopefully, we can see him have more of a shot with the Saints next season.
