The NFL Draft process always gets extremely interesting on day two. Trades start flying, prospects begin sliding, and former players get involved in the selections. For the New Orleans Saints, they will have a fan favorite announce their second-round pick during the 2023 NFL Draft.
Former Saints Super Bowl champion Roman Harper will get the nod for New Orleans.
You can't get much better than one of the most accomplished defenders in franchise history. Their second-round pick may get a tad starstruck, but he certainly won't show it.
Harper was a second-round pick, too. He was selected at No. 43 overall out of Alabama in 2006. Harper started 152 of the 169 games he played in the NFL, including the playoffs. That feat is extremely impressive, and he is considered an "iron man" from his time in the NFL.
Round 2 of the draft will begin at 6 P.M. CT, and the Saints are picking at no. 40 as of now. Keep an eye out to see if they trade up or down.
