The New Orleans Saints are keeping their eye on a very intriguing situation.
Tight end Foster Moreau, who came in for a visit free agent visit with the Saints back in March, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma after the team's medical staff conducted a physical. As a result, Moreau had to step away from the NFL for treatment.
There's no telling when Moreau will be cleared to play, but when he's is, the Saints have an offer waiting for him.
Moreau played his first four seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. Over that span, Moreau put up 91 receptions for 1,107 yards and 12 touchdowns in 61 games with 34 starts.
The Saints have a lot of interest in Moreau to go to these measures to try and bring him on board. Also, the time he's spent playing with new Saints' quarterback Derek Carr has to play a factor.
The main thing here is the health of Moreau. If that happens to get back to normal, which everyone wants, it would be cool if the Saints are the team he ends up with.
