Hopkins was due to make just over $19 million this season. That scared off some trade partners. Now, a team will be able to work out a deal with the former All-Pro wideout, and the Saints could make a deal work.
Hopkins is still a top talent at his position when healthy. Expect a team to sign him to a short-term deal as he is a veteran WR. The market is ever-evolving for those players, but he is ready to get a fresh start with a contender. The Saints need to strike.
