The Buffalo Bills S Damar Hamlin was able to play in an actual game (we don't care if it was preseason) for the first time since suffering a reported cardiac arrest and nearly dying on the field.

Even before the game, you knew something special was brewing. Hamlin quickly went viral simply by walking to the stadium, taking a look at the camera before entering the locker room. Then, all cameras were on him as he took the field, soaking in the moment and taking a second to pray.

Hamlin outdid himself once again, making his presence felt on the field almost immediately into the contest. On a fourth down, Hamlin blitzed and assisted in making the stop, forcing a turnover on downs. AtoZ Sports wrote about the incredible moment and what it must've felt like for Hamlin.

The talented safety has one-upped even that performance with an unforgettable message about his journey and what's to come. After the game, Hamlin made national headlines for what he had to say. About his career, his journey, and the fanbase that he loves so much.

"Live life, have fun." Hamlin started with a simple message about what's next for him. He continued, talking about his doctors and what they thought of his journey, "My doctors told me that coming back would be a good thing for me because it wouldn't allow me to use my situation as a crutch"

Hamlin then provided an inside look at his journey, "I done been across the country, I done seen a lot of doctors. I spent a few months this year spending a lot of time with doctors."

In February, AtoZ Sports wrote about his unprecedented update from doctors, giving him the guarantee that he would be able to play football again. Hamlin, doing his due diligence, spent the better part of the offseason hearing second opinions. When you almost die on the football field, you want to make sure you are okay to return to the sport. Shockingly, the decision for him to return was unanimous. Hamlin opened up on the surprising update, giving fans an inside look at his journey back to the NFL.

"They all came to the same conclusions and they all told me that they think going back and playing would be a good spot for me personally."

He shifted gears, giving the fanbase an intimate look at his heart and what this all means to him, "Honestly, this journey that I am on, it's a blessing." Hamlin continued, "I keep talking about the challenge but how many people can say that they really get to overcome something, a hurdle this big in their life, and then still be there to tell the story of it."

In just three words, Hamlin was perfectly able to articulate how he was feeling and what this all meant to him, "I feel chosen."

Hamlin then talked about his faith and how that's helped him along the way, opening up about how that aspect of his life has pushed him through these times."Continuing out God's mission for me. Continuing out the mission as far as raising awareness for CPR and raising awareness for AEDs being places where they need to be placed so situations like mine can happen instead of it going the reverse way."

Hamlin finished with a message everyone can get behind and what he's currently doing outside of his strenuous rehabilitation, "Spreading love and keeping a smile on my face."

Another remarkable chapter in the Damar Hamlin story has been written, we cannot wait to see what happens next.
