Former Vols QB Josh Dobbs gets great news ahead of 2023 NFL season

Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Josh Dobbs received some positive news on Thursday.
Dobbs, who started the final two games of the 2022 season for the Tennessee Titans, learned on Thursday that he'll serve as the Cleveland Browns' No. 2 quarterback this fall.
Deshaun Watson is the Browns' No. 1 quarterback. Rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who played football growing up with former Vols wide receiver Cedric Tillman (who also plays for the Browns), will serve as the No. 3 quarterback in Cleveland.
Dobbs was selected in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent the first three years of his career with the Steelers before getting traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The former Vol return to Pittsburgh for the 2020 and 2021 seasons before landing in Cleveland in 2022. After getting waived by the Browns and spending a some time on the Detroit Lions' practice squad, Dobbs was claimed by the Titans late last season.
Dobbs' two starts with the Titans last season (losses to the Dallas Cowboys and the Jaguars) were the first two starts of his NFL career.
The Georgia native signed a new deal with the Browns earlier this offseason.

In a bizarre twist, Dobbs was traded to the Arizona Cardinals just hours after he was named the Browns' No. 2 quarterback.
