Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt scored his first NFL touchdown last week in the New York Giants' 21-19 win against the Carolina Panthers.
Hyatt, a third round selection by the Giants in the 2023 NFL Draft, scored on a 33-yard pass from New York backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
Hyatt celebrated the touchdown by sitting on the ground and appearing to meditate.
After the game, Hyatt told Fox Sports' Ralph Vacchiano that he had no clue what he was doing and that he blacked out after the touchdown.
I'm sure it was a special moment for Hyatt. Not that he needed it, but that touchdown provided some validation for the hard work that the former Vol has been putting in since joining the Giants earlier this spring.
There should be plenty of opportunities for touchdown celebrations for Hyatt in the future. The former Tennessee standout is quickly showing everyone that the same skills that made him a star in college are going to make him a dangerous player in the NFL.
