As roster cutdowns come to an end later today, teams around the NFL will turn their attention to building their practice squad for the 2023 season.
The Cincinnati Bengals will be able to add 16 players to their practice squad but must follow certain stipulations when doing so. Teams can begin signing players to their practice squad on Wednesday at noon ET.
The Bengals will be able to sign six players with an unlimited amount of experience in the NFL. Additionally, there is a 10-player limit on players with two or fewer accrued seasons. For players with no accrued seasons, there is no limit.
NFL teams will pay players with two or fewer accrued seasons $12k. Players with three or more accrued seasons will make between $16.1k-$20.6k per week when they’re on the practice squad.
There will be a mix of players that we saw in the preseason, as well as players that were recently with other teams brought in.
During the season, teams around the NFL can protect four players from being poached by another team.
