Vikings rookie Jordan Addison didn't have to wait long to secure his first NFL touchdown.

Just a few minutes into the second quarter, the rookie busted through the Tampa Bay secondary and came open. Cousins threw a dart to the rookie for 39-yard score to put the Vikings up 7-3.

The Vikings have since added a field goal to go up 10-3 on the Buccaneers.

The Vikings' offense has struggled to get a consistent rhythym going, but that's to be expected in Week One.

The defense, on the other hand, has been fantastic. With just five minutes to go in the first half, Tampa Bay QB Baker Mayfield has completed just 3/11 passes for 12 yards with no scores. The Bucs have just 35 total yards of offense to this point.

Before the game, we wondered how involved Addison would be after not being listed as a starter. However, clearly the rookie is going to play a major role for this team in 2023.

If Addison keeps making plays like this, he will be starting opposite Justin Jefferson in no time.
