It's time for the Detroit Lions to pay Jared Goff, he's legit
I don't care about the interception. Seriously, I don't care. Jared Goff is a legit quarterback for the Detroit Lions. He's a hooper, he's a baller, he's whatever other Gen Z name, I barely understand, that you want to call him. No cap. Yeah it's been two games this season, but it's just so much […]

Yeah it's been two games this season, but it's just so much more than that. These two games have been very good and they have showed that what Goff did last year wasn't jus a flash in the pan or some kind of fluke. This is the player he is.
Through two games, Goff has thrown for 576 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. He's completed 71.4% of his passes and has a rating of 109.0.
71.4% is no joke whatsoever. The man is damn near automatic at this point. Yeah, he threw a pick six after his arm got swatted mid pass, but it took him 378 passes to get to that point. 378! That's the third longest streak in NFL history. The league has been a thing since 1920. The only two guys ahead of him are Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady by 25 passes.
Goff was just money during the Seahawks game. He completed 80% of the throws he made in this game. Only six throws weren't caught. This wasn't a check down thing either. Goff was slinging it all over the yard.

I think Lions fans are scared to just like the guy because he's not Matthew Stafford and he did have a rough first 10 games with the Lions. It was really bad. He wouldn't throw deep, he kept doing this weird spin out thing that never worked and he turned the ball over 11 times.
Since that the Lions started that Week 13 matchup with the Vikings in 2021, Jared Goff has been like a phoenix rising from Arizona. Look at Goff's stat line. I even added a comparison in there because I know you kids love comparisons these days.
| Stats | Jared Goff | Josh Allen |
|---|---|---|
Passing Yards | 5,979 | 5,984 |
Passing Touhdowns | 42 | 49 |
Interceptions | 10 | 22 |
Completion % | 66.3 | 62.3 |
Rating | 100.7 | 91.1 |
One of those guys is considered to be an elite level quarterback in the NFL and it's not the guy who's been playing better for some time now.
I'm just not sure what more you need to see? I guess if there could be one thing, it would be nice to see him have a big game on the road where he throws it all over the place and throws a lot of touchdowns in a win. he's been fine on the road, but he could be better there.
He's not perfect, but he's the best thing could hope to have right now. I know some fans think that the Lions can just go out and raft Charlie McLegendaryQuarterback and he'll just come with the Lombardi trophy in his suitcase and then rock you to sleep at night while he sings Your Body is a Wonderland to you, but that's just not real. Goff is your guy and you're pretty lucky to have him right now.
4 winners and 3 losers from Lions vs Seahawks
Welp, it wasn't the homecoming that the Detroit Lions or their fans were hoping for. They fought tooth and nail with the Seahawks, but at the end of the day, they just couldn't stop the Seattle offense and they wound up losing in 37-31 in overtime. After some time to think, I've got four winners […]
