Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is still dealing with soreness in his right calf and is still "day-to-day" according to head coach Zac Taylor.
If Burrow does practice on Thursday, it would not be a full practice, according to Taylor.
The Bengals got an extra day of preparation before their week of practice began this week since they play on Monday Night Football. This gave Burrow an extra day of resting his calf, but is still dealing with enough soreness to potentially take him out of practice this week.
If Burrow goes limited Thursday, it would at least give him a chance at playing against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. Whether or not No. 9 suits up comes down to how the entire week plays out, and if the Bengals coaching and training staff feels it's the right way to go.
Burrow missing any practice at all would give Jake Browning the reigns again as QB1. Browning split first-team reps with Trevor Siemian during training camp while Burrow was recovering and resting his calf.
As it turns out, Burrow was officially listed as a non-participant during Thursday's practice despite being out there with his helmet on and going through warm ups. He was the only Bengals player to not participate in Thursday's practice.
Edge defender Joseph Ossai (ankle) was a full participant for the first time since suffering an ankle sprain in late August. Safeties Nick Scott (concussion) and Tycen Anderson () were each limited.
