Progress has been made on the Joe Burrow front as the Cincinnati Bengals' star quarterback was participating in individual drills in front of media members during the team's Friday practice.

This is a great sign towards Burrow potentially playing Monday night's Week 3 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Following his participation during individual drills, Burrow had separate chats with team president Mike Brown and head coach Zac Taylor before practice continued, presumably about how he feels throwing on his right calf.

Burrow would go on to split reps with Jake Browning during QB drills, which makes sense considering Browning could end up starting. A decision on Burrow playing has not been made yet.

Nevertheless, seeing him throw and having one more practice as well tomorrow puts Burrow in a good position to actually play Monday night. Whether he's still limited or not, just having him out there will be a huge boost for the team and fans in attendance.

Burrow was officially one of three players limited at Friday's practice along with linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither (knee) and tight end Irv Smith (hamstring). Safeties Nick Scott (concussion) and Tycen Anderson each went full along with edge defender Joseph Ossai (ankle).
