Bengals Week 4 Injury Report: Offense to be down Charlie Jones, Irv Smith Jr. vs. Titans

The Cincinnati Bengals will indeed have quarterback Joe Burrow suiting up again this week vs. the Tennessee Titans, but Burrow will be without a couple pass catchers.
Wide receiver/punt returner Charlie Jones (thumb) and tight end Irv Smith Jr. (hamstring) have been declared out for Sunday's game by head coach Zac Taylor. Neither player practiced this week.
Cincinnati's plan at tight end is set to look similar to last week. Tanner Hudson will likely get called up from the practice squad and essentially replace Smith in the passing offense. Drew Sample and Mitchell Wilcox will also get playing time, primarily as run blockers.
Replacing Jones the receiver will be easier than replacing him as the punt returner. The next man up will likely be Trenton Irwin, but Taylor didn't officially announce that Friday.
Irwin and Tyler Boyd are the only players who have returned punts for the Bengals before. DJ Turner II returned three punts in college during his four years at Michigan, so he's another potential option to throw in the mix.
Linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither (knee) is officially questionable after missing Friday's practice. He was limited Thursday as well. This does not bode well for him playing, though sitting him on Friday could've been a precaution.
Burrow is still listed on the report and will be for the foreseeable future despite him being a full participant. Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie was given a rest day as the team continues to rest his knee occasionally.
