Could the Tennessee Vols be hinting at a new uniform combo via a graphic they sent to a newly minted five-star recruit this week?
We don't know the answer to that question for sure. But what we do know is that 2024 five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton tweeted out a graphic from Tennessee on Friday, which congratulates Seaton on receiving his fifth star, that shows the coveted recruit in a uniform combination that we've never seen the Vols wear.
The edited graphic shows Seaton wearing a smokey grey helmet and jersey along with some orange pants.
Tennessee wore smokey grey uniforms last season (jerseys and pants) against LSU. And they wore a modified smokey grey uniform (the Condredge Holloway inspired throwbacks) earlier this season against Austin Peay. But we haven't seen the grey with orange pants. It's a unique look that could definitely get players and recruits excited.
While we don't know if Tennessee will break this combination out anytime soon, we at least know it won't be happening for this weekend's game against Texas A&M. The Vols announced on Thursday that they'll be going with their traditional orange and white look against the Aggies.
