I'm a die hard Detroit Pistons fan just like I'm sure most Detroit Lions fans are. Things aren't going so well for the Pistons right now. They've lost an NBA in season record of 27 straight games. That's just insane. You want see something else that's insane? The Lions, a team that that only plays 17 games a year, have won more games than the Pistons have in the last 365 days.
Seriously, I couldn't believe it either. The Lions have won 13 games since December 27th 2022. The Pistons have won nine. They've played 75 more games than the Lions have. This is just absolutely insane.
It really begs the question, are the 2023 Pistons worse than the infamous 2008 Lions that didn't win a single game? It's hard to not say yes. That Lions team was near death anyways. They were expected to rebuild at any moment. The Pistons are in year four of a rebuild that was supposed to restore the Pistons to previous glory.
That's sort of the other thing that makes the Pistons worse. Their glory wasn't that long ago whereas the Lions glory was decades and decades ago. So it just makes the whole thing worse when the Pistons are at least a team that recently won a championship.
