A former Indianapolis Colts player is getting another shot at playing sports professionally, but this time, it's not on a football field.

Brandon Robinson, better known as Scoop B, shared that former NFL WR Devin Funchess has signed a deal with the Caribbean Storm of the Basketball League of Colombia.

The Colts signed Funchess before the 2019 season, and he only appeared in one game before he suffered a season-ending surgery. And while his time with the Colts was short and minimal in the full picture of his NFL career, at the time of his signing, it was portrayed as a high upside swing.

After spending just one season with the Colts, he signed with the Green Bay Packers in 2020 and ended up opting out of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He returned to the NFL in 2022, spending training camp with the Detroit Lions but wasn't able to earn a roster spot.

He's been out of the league since and now has an opportunity to be a professional athlete again on the basketball court. Funchess is 6'4" and will now go from being looked at as an above-average-sized WR to most likely a guard on the basketball court. I, for one, wish Funchess luck in this new career path.
