The Green Bay Packers have a long tradition of keeping undrafted players on the roster. After making eight selections in the NFL draft, the front office goes out there rounding out the 90-man roster and adding more young pieces to the group.

Since 2005, the Packers have always kept at least one undrafted player on the initial regular season team—the exception was last year, but then Green Bay claimed kicker Brandon Narveson off waivers a day later.

"Historically, here, two things. If you come here and you compete, you're in the right to make the football team. There's nothing holding you back from us doing that," general manager Brian Gutekunst said ahead of the draft. "We've had pretty good success developing those kinds of players. A lot of those guys have become really good players here and had great careers. I think the agency community understands that. Guys are really in tune with that as they look at the options to place players.
