Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at their new restaurant, 1587 Prime.
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ restaurant is coming along.
And the two Kansas City Chiefs stars shared a video on the 1587 Prime’s Instagram account, showing their first taste test from the new steakhouse. They both had huge smiles on their faces as they ate the perfectly cooked steaks, with a butter selection including white truffle, chili, garlic, and a torch-fired hibiscus butter.
“From the first bite, I knew it would be good,” Mahomes said in the video.
The two also took to the comments section to express their excitement.
“Man that food was better than I could have imagined!! KC get ready baby!!” Travis wrote.
“Coming soon..!! ⏰,” Mahomes added.
This venture was first announced in 2024. The restaurant will be located at the Loews Hotel in downtown Kansas City, and will be spread across two floors. According to KMBC, the “first floor will feature a 20-seat bar, a private dining room for 18 and a semi-private dining room for 40.”
There will also be references and tributes to the game of football throughout, with the entrance designed to look like a stadium tunnel.
The restaurant is set to open ahead of the 2025 NFL Season in late summer. No official opening date has been released.
