Football is days away from returning for the Chicago Bears, who are getting set to take on the Miami Dolphins in the 2025 preseason opener later this weekend.

Technically, this game will be the long awaited head coaching debut of Ben Johnson and many fans are eager to see what this team, and offense, is going to look like on the field with the new man in charge.

Naturally, expectations are once again high for the Chicago Bears going into the season based on all the additions the front office and coaching staff made this offseason. This Sunday, we finally will be able to see it all on the field in a real game setting.

Below is how fans can tune into the Bears-Dolphins preseason matchup.

How to Watch Bears vs. Dolphins Preseason Matchup

  • When: Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. ET
  • Where: Soldier Field
  • TV Live: NFL Network and locally on FOX32 Chicago
  • Stream: NFL+, Fubo, YouTube TV
  • Listen: ESPN 1000

Late last week, the Bears unveiled the new broadcast team for the 2025 preseason with Adam Amin on play-by-play with Jim Miller and Stacey Dales on color.

Players to Watch

On Friday, the Bears will be hosting a joint practice with the Dolphins ahead of the preseason action on Sunday. Therefore, it’s unlikely we see very many starters take the field in this game, including quarterback Caleb Williams. However, there will still some notable players to watch.

QB Tyson Bagent – The fan-favorite backup quarterback seems to have a strong hold on the new offensive scheme and will finally get the chance to show what he can do on the field again. During the 2024 preseason, Bagent posted 207 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

TE Colston Loveland – It’s not a guarantee we see the team’s first-round pick in action on Sunday, but given the amount of time Loveland missed in the spring, it might be best to get him on the field for a few plays to knock the rust off. And fans are excited to see him in action.

WR JP Richardson – The rookie undrafted free agent has been making plays left and right during training camp, including a long TD on Sunday at Family Fest. Richardson has been a great surprise and continues to make his case for a final roster spot.

RB Kyle Monangai – The seventh-round rookie continues to generate strong praise from the coaching staff on offense and special teams. His physical running style should set him up for immediate success on the field in preseason action.
