The Detroit Lions added a couple more players to their list of season-ending injuries on Thursday morning. Cornerback Dicaprio Bootle and offensive lineman Keaton Sutherland will be out for the season. Both were relatively new to the Lions, and both went down with injuries on Wednesday.

In their place, the Lions have brought in offensive lineman Zack Johnson. The former All-UFL lineman did not play in the UFL this season, but played with the Birmingham Stallions last year and helped them win the UFL championship. I addition to that, Johnson has also spent time with the Packers, Cardinals, Broncos, Ravens, Titans, Browns, and 49ers. He was waived by San Francisco last week. He’s played just one regular-season game for the Titans and has been mostly a practice squad guy everywhere else.

The Lions also signed cornerback Allen George. The former Vanderbilt cornerback spent two seasons with the Bengals’ practice squad and played four regular-season games for them. He signed with the Commnaders on a futures deal after the season and was released last week.
