Ok, so that’s how it’s going to be. Last week, the Green Bay Packers made a giant splah when they traded with the Dallas Cowboys to get Micah Parsons. Now the Detroit Lions will take on Parsons in his first game as a Packer, and he’s already firing some shots the Lions’ way.

“I feel like Dallas and Detroit already had a rivalry. I’m excited to play them. I never liked Detroit.” Parsons said Thursday. “I never liked them. When I was in Dallas, it was just always a heavyweight fight every time they came in. They kinda got our guys when I was injured last year. The whole team was injured. I just think it’s a funny way how things work. I’m excited to play them, I know they’re excited. It’s going to go all 12-15 rounds.”

Well then, Parsons doesn’t like the Lions, and that’s fine, but I don’t think that his missing and maybe a couple extra guys really means that the Lions’ 47-9 win over the Cowboys in Week 6 was any less of a blowout. The Lions handled their business in that game, and I don’t think anyone was stopping them that day. Not Parsons, Chris Christie, or Aidan Hutchinson’s broken leg was stopping them from putting up a fourth burger on a team they wanted revenge on pretty badly.

We’ll see how things go on Sunday with the Lions and Packers rivalry. In the past, Parsons hasn’t been his normal dominant self against Penei Sewell and the Lions. He’s put up 10 pressures and 2 sacks in two games. He’ll have to fight against Sewell again in this one. Let’s see how it goes.
