The Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 1 opener against the Dallas Cowboys is experiencing a weather delay due to lightning in the area.

There was a 60% chance of thunderstorms leading up to the game. Aside from some rain, conditions remained clear until the final five minutes of the second half, when players were directed to their locker rooms and fans were instructed to take shelter at Lincoln Financial Stadium.

UPDATE #1: Mike Tirico from NBC said the area is expected to be clear of lightning at 11:15 p.m. ET, and then game protocols require an additional 12 minutes to resume play.

UPDATE #2: Per ESPN, the game is scheduled to resume at 11:30 p.m. ET with the Eagles taking over at its own 16.

Buckle up for a longer night.

The Eagles currently lead the Cowboys 24-20.
