Another incredible NFC North matchup is coming up in Week 2 when the Chicago Bears travel to take on the Detroit Lions in Ben Johnson’s first game back at Ford Field after leaving Detroit to become the head coach in Chicago.

The first game after the “divorce” was something both teams would wish to forget. The Bears fell 27-24 after blowing a 17-6 lead entering the fourth quarter. The Lions struggled mightily on offense without its former coordinator against the Green Bay Packers, losing 27-13.

“No one’s going to feel sorry for us. This is going to be a quick turnaround here to get going for Sunday in Detroit,” Johnson said after Monday’s loss, a message that can be extended to both teams in this matchup. “We gotta turn the page here quickly.”

With the possibility of starting the season 0-2 in the division, a lot is at stake in this matchup. Here’s how you can tune in and watch.

3 Bears Players To Watch

TE Colston Loveland: Chicago’s first-round selection was seldomly used in his regular season debut, something his head coach admitted was by design in the game plan going up against the Vikings defense. Perhaps the Week 2 game plan is different and the Bears can actually unleash his abilities as a pass catcher to give the offense a spark.

CB Jaylon Johnson: It was a close call to rule Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson out for Week 1. Johnson returned to practice last week since missing all of camp with a groin injury and tried to ramp up in time to play in the season opener. With another week to get ready, hopefully we see Johnson take the field in Week 2 to help lock up Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.

RG Jonah Jackson: I was not particularly thrilled with how right guard Jonah Jackson played in his debut with the Bears. Ben Johnson made it a point to go out and get this guy from the Rams. His Week 1 performance was nowhere near good enough allowing five pressures with a 29.4 pass blocking grade. He needs to clean it up in Week 2.
