Injuries are a massive part of the NFL on a weekly basis. The New Orleans Saints are set to face a Brock Purdy and George Kittle-less offense for the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2. Kittle is on injured reserve, while Purdy has already been ruled out as well.

For New Orleans, how does their side look when it comes to the injury front? It is a bit crowded for them as well. Their biggest questions are in the trenches when it comes to injuries.

Chase Young still not practicing ahead of 49ers game

According to the Saints’ latest injury report, edge rusher Chase Young is still missing practice due to his calf injury. Additionally, Trevor Penning continues to miss time due to his foot injury.

Young and Penning both did not play in the season opener due to these ailments. As the missed practice time continues, their timetable for return seems to be farther and farther away.

Full injury report from Thursday

Check out the latest full injury report for Week 2 for New Orleans below. The Saints will reveal a final injury report on Friday.

Julian Blackmon is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to a torn labrum. Taliese Fuaga suffered a knee injury in Week 1 and is considered day-to-day. He practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday. The Saints cannot afford to lose the young offensive tackle for this upcoming matchup against the 49ers defensive line.

Jordan Howden is fully practicing this week. Expect him to be active this week for New Orleans. Jonas Sanker is expected to start at safety opposite Justin Reid, following the loss of Blackmon. Long snapper Zach Wood was downgraded to DNP after logging a limited practice on Wednesday.

The Saints host the 49ers at noon central on Sunday. Make sure to tune in.
