Man, it was not a good week to be a fan of a team from Ohio. The Detroit Lions, Michigan Wolverines, and Detroit Tigers ensured that. The Lions had a 34-10 win over the Cleveland Browns last Sunday, and then this Sunday, they beat the Cincinnati Bengals 37-24.

The Tigers knocked the Cleveland Guardians out of the MLB playoffs, and while this one didn’t happen this week, the Wolverines beat Ohio State in the college football playoffs last year, and any Ohio State loss is worth celebrating for years. After all this, the Lions did this.

This was actually a notable win for the Lions. The last time they beat the Bengals was in 1992. I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston was the No. 1 song in the country, and the top movie was Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Everyone in that movie is pretty old now. I’m pretty old now. I was eight at this time.
