The LSU Tigers aren’t giving up in a highly competitive race for the most unique elite receiver prospect in the 2027 class. Whenever Ohio State and Alabama are in the chase for a recruit, it’s a generally safe bet that he’s a good prospect. Top-ranked Indiana receiver Moshun Sales is getting calls from all over despite being projected to decide between the Buckeyes and Crimson Tide in August.

Even with Indiana surging as a program, the 6-foot-5 four-star receiver will continue to be a priority for LSU head coach Brian Kelly. The Tigers could sell Sales on Brian Thomas Jr.’s development as a tall, explosive receiver and first-round pedigree. They’re the only team besides Ohio State who can boast that recently.

Here’s the latest in LSU’s connection to Sales.

Moshun Sales still giving LSU Tigers consideration

The latest iteration of Rivals’ recruiting roundabout had this to say about Sales’ recruiting process.
”The state’s No. 1 recruit and the nation’s No. 3 receive, Moshun Sales, has already attended one game in Bloomington and looks forward to returning. Indiana is in the thick of this recruitment moving forward as they battle Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Michigan, Miami and Texas A&M.”

On3 previously reported Sales was seemingly destined for Alabama, but there’s been little additional furtherance of that in the news.

“Monshun Sales is one the top playmakers in the entire 2027 class. He holds offers from coast-to-coast and can pretty much name the program he signs with.

In talking with Sales and other sources I think that Alabama is going to be tough to beat here. There are a couple of unique things helping the Crimson Tide here. Sales is originally from Alabama. He also grew up a fan of the program during the height of Nick Saban’s dynasty.”

Interestingly, Ohio State, Michigan, and Indiana are leading the pack with four official visits. We’ll see if LSU can get Sales on campus again anytime soon, as the Texas A&M Aggies have gotten more buzz behind the scenes than the other SEC contenders than anyone.
