The Miami Hurricanes lands a commitment from the perfect complement to Malachi Toney next season
The Canes picked up a big target – literally and figuratively – for next season.
Malachi Toney has been a revelation this season for the Miami Hurricanes. The true freshman has shown quickness and flash that’s allowed him to hit big plays in both the intermediate and deep passing game for the Canes.
Now, it appears he’ll have some company in 2026, and it’s someone who can add another element to Miami’s passing attack. Miami secured a commitment from 2026 four-star WR Milan Parris on Tuesday evening.
Miami secures commitment from four-star WR Milan Parris
Parris de-committed from Iowa State earlier this month and re-opened his recruitment, and Mario Cristobal and Kevin Beard stepped right in and made an impression on the talented wideout. Parris is rated as the #303 player, #50 wide receiver, and #15 player in the state of Ohio by On3/Rivals’ composite rankings.
However, the interest from some notable programs across the country makes one believe that Parris is an overlooked player by the recruiting services. Parris holds offers from Oregon, Oklahoma, Auburn, Iowa State, Nebraska, Illinois, Kentucky, and others.
At 6’5″, 205 pounds, Parris has the ideal length for an outside deep ball specialist and a red zone/end zone target in the passing game. What Miami lacks in its current WR group is a such a big target, and next year, Parris has the chance to make an impact as a true freshman as Tony and Bryce Fitzgerald have done for the Hurricanes this season.
Parris joins an impressive group of wide receivers in the 2026 class. He becomes the fourth wideout committed, including fellow four stars Somourian Wingo from St. Augustine, FL and Vance Spafford from Tustin, CA.
As such, with Toney a blossoming star and more help on the way, the future at the position is looking bright for Miami.
