The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills have wrapped up their final practices of the week in preparations for their matchup on Sunday.

The Bills are ailing a bit, having already ruled out multiple players. They also have several key contributors on injured reserve. The Chiefs are in good health overall, but will be down a couple of offensive starters this week. Let’s examine each team’s final injury reports.

Observations:

  • Jones being out for Sunday’s game is a huge blow, as fellow DTs Ed Oliver and T.J. Sanders are already on injured reserve, leaving Buffalo very thin at the position.
  • Thompson wasn’t able to practice on Thursday or Friday, leaving him out for Sunday.
  • Palmer will miss his second straight game as he deals with an ankle and knee injury.
  • Johnson popped up on Friday’s injury report with a groin injury. He is the Bills’ primary nickel back, and they would sorely miss him if he can’t play.

Observations:

  • Simmons will miss his fourth consecutive game as he deals with a personal family matter. Jaylon Moore, if available, will once again get the start in his place.
  • Moore missed Friday’s practice with an illness and has been tagged with a questionable designation. With Simmons already out, it would be a big blow if Moore couldn’t play. Starting in his place would likely be Wanya Morris.
  • Pacheco is also out after not logging a practice this week. Kareem Hunt and Brashard Smith will likely get heavier workloads on Sunday, and the Chiefs will have to decide what other RB they want to add to the mix.
  • Smith is listed as questionable, but after practicing in full on Friday, coach Andy Reid told the media he expects Smith to start on Sunday.
