Darnold should have two weapons he didn’t have in Week 9.

The Seattle Seahawks are ripping through the 2025 season, but the team enters its Week 10 bout against the Arizona Cardinals banged up on both sides of the ball.

Especially the Seahawks’ passing attack. The team already ruled out three wide receivers on Friday in Tory Horton, Jake Bobo, and Dareke Young. Rising tight end A.J. Barner is also currently questionable with a calf injury, as well.

That’s why Sunday morning’s update regarding Cooper Kupp is encouraging. Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Kupp is expected to play after missing Week 9 with hamstring and heel injuries. It’s not guaranteed by any means, but there’s plenty of optimism surrounding the veteran’s availability for an important division game.

Kupp’s return coincides with Rashid Shaheed’s debut

Mike Macdonald said Friday he “feels great” about Kupp’s return, which is another solid signal the former Offensive Player of the Year returns against the Cardinals. Kupp has 24 receptions for 293 yards and a touchdown through seven games with Seattle, so far.

“I feel great about it,” said Macdonald. “He’s done a great job. Coop’s an animal – he’s great. It’s impressive to see what he’s willing to do to go play a game. It means a lot to him and he’s done a great job this week.”

Macdonald also said the Seahawks have a plan for Sam Darnold’s newest toy in Rashid Shaheed. It’ll be exciting to see how the speedster fits in with the Seahawks’ passing attack just a few days after joining the team.

“It’s one of those deals where he’s done a great job so far and the prep won’t stop until all the way through game time,” said Macdonald. “… We have a plan for him and can’t wait to see him play. He’s done a great job.”

Macdonald also said Shaheed will probably factor in the return game, so keep tabs on that part of the game, as well. In all, Darnold and the passing attack should be in pretty good shape despite losing a few bodies before kick off.
