With the closing of Monday Night Football, Week 10 of the NFL season is officially in the books. It was a pretty good one for the Detroit Lions. They had a 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Green Bay Packers lost. That’ll put the Lions in first place in the NFC North.

Where the Lions stand in the playoff picture after Week 10:

NFC Playoff Picture

  • 1st: Philadelphia Eagles (7-2)
  • 2nd: Seattle Seahawks (7-2)
  • 3rd: Detroit Lions (6-3)
  • 4th: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3)
  • 5th: Los Angeles Rams (7-2)
  • 6th: Chicago Bears (6-3
  • 7th Green Bay Packers (5-3-1)

The Eagles’ win over the Packers moved the Lions up to first place in the NFC North and put them in the third seed of the playoffs. This was a big week for the Lions, but next week is even more significant. Take a look at the schedule of these teams next week.

Bears vs Vikings
Packers vs Giants
Buccaneers vs Bills

There is some serious playoff picture scenario shifting games here. There could be a new first seed, and the Lions could put themselves in the second seed with a win over the Eagles. A Vikings win could knock the Bears out, and maybe the 49ers can move up. The Giants could knock the Packers out. We’ll see what happens.
