Injuries, once again, are at the forefront of One Bills Drive heading into the Week 11 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While speaking to the media on Wednesday, head coach Sean McDermott had a troubling update on a handful of key playmakers, though it wasn’t all bad news.

Defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis and tight end Dalton Kincaid didn’t practice. Linebackers Terrel Bernard and Shaq Thompson, cornerbacks Christian Benford, Taron Johnson, and Cam Lewis, were limited, along with defensive end Joey Bosa, wide receiver Khalil Shakir, and linebacker Dorian Williams.

Woof, that’s a lot of names popping up on the injury report heading into Sunday. Injuries are inevitable, but Buffalo has been severely battered by injuries, especially in the 2025 season.

Kincaid is out week-to-week, and the injury to Mathis is unknown as of publication.

Not all bad news for Buffalo

It’s looking like the team will get some help on offense and defense, as defensive end AJ Epenesa and wide receiver Josh Palmer were full participants.

Epenesa didn’t play in the loss against the Dolphins, and his absence was felt. Despite some defensive woes, Buffalo’s front four has generated plenty of pressure, with Epenesa having quite the season in Buffalo. For Palmer, it’s an exciting update as quarterback Josh Allen looks to finally get one of his top weapons back.

Palmer was injured from a hip-drop tackle in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons and hasn’t been available to compete on game days since. Buffalo desperately needs that vertical threat down the field, especially considering Kincaid’s absence.

Some more good news is that rookie defensive tackle T.J. Sanders is back at practice after being on the injured reserve. Getting some depth at that position will go a long way.

Buffalo’s injury luck has been brutal to say the least, but reinforcements like Palmer and Epenesa could help stabilize things ahead of the Week 11 game. With the AFC playoff picture tightening, getting healthier at the right time might be the only way to keep pace.
