The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos have each released their inactive lists ahead of their big AFC West tilt on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams are dealing with some injuries heading into the Week 11 game, with the most notable absences coming on Denver’s side. The Chiefs, however, confirmed suspicions about their post-bye week plans at the running back position after they decided against elevating players from the practice squad on Saturday.

Chiefs’ Week 11 inactive players list

  • RB Isiah Pacheco
  • TE Jared Wiley
  • WR Jalen Royals
  • OL Hunter Nourzad
  • CB Joshua Williams

For the first time this season, Kansas City has activated running back Elijah Mitchell for a game. With Isiah Pacheco also ruled out against the Buffalo Bills in Week 9, the team called upon former first-round draft pick and practice squad running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. This time around, they’re going with a different route with Mitchell. This marks his first NFL regular-season game played since his Week 18 start against the Los Angeles Rams with the San Francisco 49ers in the 2023-2024 season. He had 14 carries for 52 yards and one rushing touchdown in that game.

Additionally, Chiefs CB Kristian Fulton is active over Joshua Williams. Fulton signed a two-year deal this offseason but had been a healthy scratch for Kansas City most weeks this season. Everything else on the Chiefs’ list is to be expected, with Wiley, Royals, and Nourzad not dressing out for the game.

Broncos’ Week 11 inactive players list

  • CB Pat Surtain II
  • LB Alex Singleton
  • TE Nate Adkins
  • OLB Jonah Elliss
  • DE Sai’Vion Jones
  • DT Jordan Jackson
  • OT Geron Christian

The Broncos are a little shorthanded heading into this game, with a few key playmakers on both sides of the ball absent. You won’t see RB J.K. Dobbins on this list because the Denver Broncos placed him on injured reserve following a foot injury caused by a hip-drop tackle. Pat Surtain II is out with a pec strain, which could ultimately have the most significant impact on this game. Alex Singleton recently announced that he had undergone a procedure to treat testicular cancer.
