The Buffalo Bills are once again battling through injury. Taking a look at the latest injury report, there were more than a handful of names present, giving fans cause for concern for the upcoming Week 12 showdown against the Houston Texans.

On Wednesday, head coach Sean McDermott spoke to WGR 550 and confirmed suspicions on a handful of players that would not be available for the contest. Quarterback Josh Allen and the offense are going to be without some key playmakers as wide receivers Curtis Samuel and Mecole Hardman, along with tight end Dalton Kincaid, have all been ruled out.

For Hardman, there was writing on the wall that he wouldn’t be able to compete after the team re-signed kick return specialist Brandon Codrington to the practice squad. In Hardman’s absence, you can expect to see Codrington elevated for the matchup.

Josh Allen and the offense are going to be shorthanded

It should go without saying that Kincaid’s absence will hurt the most. He suffered a hamstring injury several weeks ago and has been unable to see the field since. Kincaid is one of Allen’s best pass-catchers and has had a breakout season thus far, despite playing in limited snaps. While Allen and the offense were buzzing in the win against the Buccaneers, not having Kincaid against one of the best defenses in the league is a bit worrisome.

Finally, for Samuel, he has missed some time this year dealing with a host of injuries, once again finding himself sidelined. With several weapons down, perhaps the team will elevate wide receiver Gabe Davis once again, or it may force the team to utilize receivers Elijah Moore and Keon Coleman, who both were healthy scratches in the Week 11 victory.

All eyes now turn to Thursday night in Houston, where Buffalo’s depth will be tested. With so many playmakers unavailable, Allen will once again have to lean on a different supporting cast to keep pace with one of the NFL’s toughest defenses.
