Bills star Josh Allen walks away from Steelers game with an even bigger win over Aaron Rodgers as new insights confirm his edge
Josh Allen walked away with much more than just a win against the Steelers.
The Buffalo Bills pulled out all the stops and proved victorious against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13. Quarterback Josh Allen made NFL history in the win, surpassing Cam Newton for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in the regular season.
However, it’s what happened after the game that perhaps handed Allen an even bigger win, and it had nothing to do with the Buffalo Bills.
After some rough losses, Allen always takes ownership of the mistakes of the team and wears it on his shoulders; it’s a defining feature of the franchise quarterback. Regardless of what happens on the field, if the team loses, he more often than not takes immediate blame and puts it on himself.
Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers quickly went viral with his comments postgame, seemingly throwing his teammates under the bus for their performance and getting agitated with reporters’ questioning.
“When there’s film sessions, everyone shows up,” Rodgers said. “When I check to a route, run the right route.”
Josh Allen is just built differently, even after a win
Allen showed why he’s built differently, even after a positive result. While Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers used his postgame podium to call out teammates and vent about what went wrong, Allen went the other direction.
It’s the same approach Allen takes after losses, when he shoulders the blame instead of spreading it around. The Bills Mafia never has to worry about finger-pointing or drama from their quarterback. Allen stays accountable, protects his locker room, and carries himself like the kind of professional every franchise hopes to have.
Rodgers was clearly frustrated with the performance of his teammates, but throwing them under the bus is never the answer. The internet lives forever, and this isn’t the first time Rodgers has been critical of his teammates after a devastating loss. It should just make the Bills Mafia that much more grateful that No. 17 is at the helm.
