Josh Allen and the Bills offense are getting Dalton Kincaid back at the perfect time of the year
Allen and the Bills offense are in need of a boost and they’re set to get one in the form of Dalton Kincaid.
The Buffalo Bills are entering the final stretch of the 2025 season, so it’s absolutely crucial to have all hands on deck as the team tries to chase down the AFC East-leading New England Patriots.
As it turns out, that’s exactly in the cards heading into Week 14’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals: Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Josh Allen is set to get one of his favorite and most effective targets back in tight end Dalton Kincaid, who was listed as questionable on Friday’s final injury report.
Kincaid hasn’t played since Week 10 when he injured his hamstring against the Miami Dolphins. He’s also been dealing with a knee issue, but per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, he’ll push through and suit up despite the pain.
The third-year tight end was on track to record career-highs in receiving yardage and receiving touchdowns, as he already had 29 receptions for 448 yards and four touchdowns on 36 targets through eight games before the injury.
There’s zero doubt Kincaid will help the Bills’ passing attack; the question is just to what extent. The hope is he can provide a solid red zone/goal line presence, at a minimum, and then anything on top of that is a bonus.
That may not sound like much on the surface, but the Bills are 11th in red zone efficiency at 61.9% and Kincaid can push them into top-10 and even elite status down the line. That’s a significant advantage to have as the playoffs draw closer and closer each week.
Teams want to start getting healthy/stay healthy when it matters most, and this is a great start for the Bills. We’ll see just how much of a difference Kincaid makes against the Bengals on Sunday.
