The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers have released their final injury reports ahead of Week 15’s game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

This game will mark another week of the Chiefs being shorthanded on the offensive side of the ball, with O-Line injuries at the forefront of their injury-related problems. The Chargers will have their own challenges to overcome as well. Especially coming into hostile territory, with a desperate AFC West opponent on the other sideline.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the final injury reports for Week 15, complete with game status designations, for both teams. Keep in mind that clubs can make additions to the final injury report all the way up until kickoff at Noon CT.

Observations

  • Chiefs HC Andy Reid confirmed that WR Hollywood Brown would not be available for Week 15 due to personal reasons. That’ll be a tough loss for an already-struggling offense as Brown generates separation at the second-highest rate next to Tyquan Thornton.
  • While fans will want to see rookie WR Jalen Royals in Hollywood Brown’s place, the team is also getting Nikko Remigio back this week after he suffered a concussion in practice ahead of Week 14.
  • Chiefs RG Trey Smith is not quite ready yet, according to HC Andy Reid. He gave it a go in practice this week, knowing that the team could really use him back. However, with both high and low ankle sprains, returning so soon was always a pipe dream.
  • The team will be without both Wanya Morris and Jawaan Taylor for Week 15 vs. the Chargers, paving the way for Esa Pole’s first career start and another start for Jaylon Moore.
  • Nick Bolton being back at practice in full is a good sign for his availability on Sunday, though I wouldn’t rule out some more snaps for rookie LB Jeff Bassa.

Observations

  • While Derius Davis is the only player ruled out officially, I don’t expect Elijah Molden or Trey Pipkins to play. That’d put the Chargers down a starter each on offense, defense, and special teams.
  • It’s never a good sign when you’re added to the injury report at any juncture during the practice week, but during a Friday practice, it rarely bodes well for the traveling team. Look for Quentin Johnston to miss Week 15 potentially.
