The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Oklahoma Sooners will meet on Friday night in Norman in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

Oklahoma has won its last two games against Alabama — including this season’s matchup in Tuscaloosa.

Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt predicts the final score of Alabama vs Oklahoma

Fox Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt predicted the outcome of each of this weekend’s first round College Football Playoff games, and he has the Sooners winning their third straight matchup against the Crimson Tide.

“Oklahoma, it’s one of the great programs in the country,” said Klatt. “Because of that, and because it’s Friday night kicking off the playoffs, I think that place is going to be [rocking]. I mean, I’ve got goosebumps right now just thinking about it. The Palace on the Prairie is a great venue. It’s one of the great venues in college football. And I think that place is going to be going.

“Alabama has struggled under Kalen DeBoer, not entirely this year, but struggled generally on the road under Kalen DeBoer, and they struggled mightily the last time they were in Norman. So I’m actually going to go OU. I think OU wins this one outright, 20 to 17. They find a way to get to 20 points. (Tate) Sandell hits a couple of long [field goals]. They get a couple of turnovers, and they win it very similarly to the one that they won in Tuscaloosa.”

Oklahoma and Alabama will kick off at 7:00 PM CT/8:00 PM ET on Friday night.
