NFL rivalries always bring grit and tenacity out of both squads involved. For the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders, anger and frustration clearly came to the forefront during a late-game clash that led to a lot of post-whistle physicality and multiple ejections.

Fight breaks out after Eagles score late vs. Commanders

After a failed two-point conversion from Philadelphia, a major scuffle started between multiple players on both sides of this division clash. Three players were ejected due to the fight, in which many punches and slaps were thrown.

Eagles OL Tyler Steen, Commanders DT Javon Kinlaw, and Commanders DB Quan Martin were all thrown out of the game late in the fourth quarter.

It was a tough look for both sides that had kept their feelings in check throughout the battle. It is hard to tell exactly what sparked the tussle, but neither team wanted to back down, and the fighting lasted nearly an entire minute.

There is no doubt that emotions were running high for both teams as the game unwound. With the score just before the scuffle, Philly had basically salted away any chance that Washington had to make a late comeback. The Commanders scored a last-minute touchdown to make the score a bit better than it really was for them. Ultimately, Philadelphia came away with a 29-18 victory.

With the win, the Eagles clinched back-to-back NFC East titles.
