The College Football Playoff didn’t start how anyone hoped for the Alabama Crimson Tide after an early 17-0 deficit to the Oklahoma Sooners on the road, but things took a change.

Ty Simpson and the rest of the Crimson Tide found its groove in the second half to score 27 unanswered points against Oklahoma. Coming back from 17 points down in a hostile environment isn’t an easy task, but the Crimson Tide did it to become the first team to win a road playoff game.

As if anyone needed more motivation with a chance to continue their season and chase a National Championship, Oklahoma tried to fire up the team with a surprise guest appearance that backfired in the worst way.

Oklahoma brought out 50 Cent to hype up the home crowd

Oklahoma’s motto for the game was “Hard To Kill”, which turned out to be very fitting for this game. Then, the team brought out 50 Cent to perform his song “Many Men” live, and it did more harm than good for Oklahoma, as it actually motivated Alabama in the funniest way possible.

Simpson and the rest of the team were seen dancing and getting hype to the song on the field, and it wasn’t just because of it being a hype song; it was actually the team’s song, and Oklahoma didn’t even know it.

Alabama ends the week playing “Many Men” song, and it motivated them even more

Alabama’s comeback was already motivating enough, but Oklahoma gave it an unexpected push to finish the game strong, and the team couldn’t believe it after the game.

“We didn’t expect 50 Cent to show up,” Deontae Lawson said. “The crazy thing about that is we always listen to “Many Men” on Fridays, so we definitely got some juice right there for sure.”

“I didn’t know that was 50 Cent until later,” Simpson said while smiling. “But I did know that song.”

“You know, it’s crazy, we always play that song every Friday on our walkthroughs,” Zabien Brown said. “When they came out with it, it was really our song, so it kind of gave us some extra juice.”

Oklahoma had all the lead, the momentum, and the environment, and it wasn’t enough to stop Alabama from coming back and saving its season. Alabama looked like the team everyone expected to see, and now it can carry that momentum into the Rose Bowl against Indiana.
