The Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals have begun practicing for their Week 17 matchup this Sunday.
Let’s take a look at Wednesday’s injury reports for both the Bengals and Cardinals.
Bengals Wednesday injury report
| Player | Injury | W/T/F | Designation |
| TE Noah Fant | Ankle | Limited | — |
| TE Cam Grandy | Chest | DNP | — |
| DT B.J. Hill | Ankle | DNP | — |
| WR Charlie Jones | Ankle | DNP | — |
| S PJ Jules | Ankle | Full | — |
| C Matt Lee* | Knee | Limited | — |
| DE Joseph Ossai | Ankle | DNP | — |
Observations
- Joseph Ossai (ankle) remains out with his ankle injury he suffered back in Week 15. Ossai has logged the second-most snaps (616) for Cincinnati’s defensive line and first among defensive ends this season, but missed Week 16’s win over the Miami Dolphins. Cam Sample got the start for Ossai last week, and he’d likely be the starter Sunday should Ossai’s injury keep him out again.
- B.J. Hill (ankle) is also still dealing with an ankle injury. He played through it last week after he only practiced one day. The Bengals leading by such a large margin over the Dolphins allowed Hill to exit the game early, allowing McKinnley Jackson the most playing time he’s ever experienced in a single NFL game. Hill should be good to go by the time the weekend rolls around, but don’t expect him to play a full game.
- Charlie Jones (ankle) and Cam Grandy (chest) are considered week-to-week and it would be unlikely for either player to practice at some point this week and suit up Sunday.
- Matt Lee (knee) was cleared to practice Wednesday but is still on the Reserve/Injured list.

Observations
- A lot of big names listed here, notably Budda Baker (concussion/thumb), Paris Johnson (knee), and Josh Sweat (ankle/knee), who were all DNPs for Wednesday’s walkthrough. Baker has yet to miss a game this season but is in the concussion protocol. Johnson hasn’t played since Week 14. Sweat left Arizona’s Week 16 game after only playing seven snaps.
- Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) was limited along with cornerbacks Will Johnson (thumb/chest) and Max Melton (heel). If you’re reading this, happy holidays!
