Cameron Jordan will always be an important part of the history of the New Orleans Saints franchise. In Week 17, he received a helping hand in making sure that he got a reward in his contract on a pivotal play late in the team’s victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Cam Jordan earns an incentive, via replay assist with sack against Titans

With another sack in Week 17, Jordan reached a key season milestone. With his 9.5 sacks, he received a $600,000 incentive, but it wouldn’t have happened if not for replay assist.

A recent addition to the NFL’s weekly process, expedited review examined the play in which Jordan got the sack and overturned the prior completion ruling for Titans quarterback Cam Ward.

Instead, Jordan was credited with a sack that immediately placed some extra money in his wallet. In a season that could be his final one, he has impressed statistically when you look at his recent campaigns. New Orleans Saints PR confirmed the replay vaulted Jordan into even more league history.

“After being ruled down, Cam Jordan’s sack of QB Cam Ward brings his career total to 131 and a team-leading 9.5 in 2025. This is Jordan’s seventh season with at least nine sacks, making him the 29th player in NFL history with seven seasons of at least nine sacks.” — New Orleans Saints PR

Jordan has been playing better football in 2025, after a couple of frustrating campaigns in the final two seasons with Dennis Allen and his coaching group calling the defense. Alongside Chase Young on the other side, the fan favorite defender is getting more opportunities to take down opposing QBs.
